By using this guide, you will see the opportunities that can work for your school and bring everyone together.
Follow these simple steps to take your event virtual:
1. Pick a virtual event date.
Having a set date will help give your event a sense of fundraising urgency and will also allow people to plan in advance to “attend.” Remember to let your Mini-THON liaison know that you’re planning to take your event virtual so they can help you plan.
2. Share the news and encourage people to fundraise.
Let people know that you’re moving to a virtual event and ask your participants to continue fundraising virtually using their personal fundraising pages on DonorDrive (supported by PSECU).
3. Plan what events you want to have.
On the next few pages of this guide, you’ll find a sample schedule and some activity ideas that you can use to make your event fun and engaging.
4. Ask your community to help!
Do you know a Zumba instructor, a yoga instructor or an art teacher? Ask them to help by being a part of your event activities.
5. Send out information and have fun!
Plan your communication methods to get information to all of your attendees to let them know how they can participate and what they can expect at a virtual Mini-THON. Show your excitement and make it fun!
