Potential

If we all did the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves
-Thomas Alva Edison
One of the things I get to do that I enjoy the most is helping others recognize and reach for their own potential. I’ve experienced how exhilarating it can be for someone to awaken a new way of seeing myself, encouraged that they see something in me that I haven’t yet recognized.. It’s exciting to think that a next-level me can exist, that I can be an even greater version of who I already am. What a gift!
But it comes with responsibility, too. Potential is just a conceivable possibility until or unless we decide to do something about it. That responsibility, and the growth that comes with it, is solely our own. Someone else can see it, and can coach, mentor or guide us towards it, but they can't do the work for us to reach our own potential – that’s an inside job. All growth takes effort, and usually comes with a process of letting go of the familiar, the easy, and the comfortable. It’s worth it, but YOU have to choose it.
Where are you yearning to grow? How can reaching for your own personal potential help others? How can it help Four Diamonds?
